What you will be doing: 

  • The Consumers UI/UX Product Manager will have the responsibility to help define the User Experience for JumiaPay products and coordinate with Product Managers and Designers to implement a best in class User Experience for clients and partners
  • Help define the overall strategy for UI/UX, the roadmap, and business plan to achieve a best in class User Experience
  • Actively prioritize product backlog and coordinate planning with Product Owner and Designers Drive UI/UX best practices across the organization, including accessibility and usability
  • Work with clients and partners to define and create story boards and user journey maps
  • Work with clients and partners to understand and address usability issues
  • Help unify the user experience of currently fragmented properties and products.
  • Participate in UX demos and sign off UX deliverables to ensure high quality.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship between business product managers and the UI/UX team, ensure productive engagements between the two teams.
  • Work with the technical product managers to ensure that UX deliverables are well defined and understood in the overall project scope.
  • Work with PMO; help develop processes to ensure orderly, predictable execution of deliverables.
  • Advocate UX research; assist with the planning and execution of usability studies 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive one or more Scrum Teams as the Product Owner
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements in the forms of Epics, Themes and Stories
  • Backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum best practices and values
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
