Head of Brand - Commercial - Jumia (Full-time)

Main Responsibilities : 

  • Lead cross-functional teams (commercial & operational) by providing vision and direction to ensure the effective delivery of agreed brand activities and programs

  • Strategically identify key high-level targets; be responsible for implementation of our marketing strategies to drive revenue support for events

  • Development and maintenance of strategic and longer-term partnership with Key Brands distributed in Senegal

  • Develop deep expertise of the marketplace, retail dynamics, consumer and shopper behaviour

  • Drive consistent flawless execution of partners brand activation plans by ensuring effective implementation of brand strategies and action plans

  • Partner closely with Commercial and Sales team to drive sales, revenue and market share

  • Monitor business results and measure the effectiveness of plans and initiatives, taking corrective actions if necessary

  • Work with the Trade Marketing teams to develop and implement brand collateral for Jumia campaigns throughout the year

Required Skills & Qualifications : 

  • Degree in Marketing/Sales/Business Administration or equivalent qualification

  • 4+ years Media buying experience OR experience as a Brand & Partnership Manager within an FMCG organisation is essential

  • Strong Business Development skills

  • Ability to create exciting campaigns, with the ability to influence and work in a collaborative way

  • Proven implementation ability

  • Proactive and results driven

  • Data driven, demonstrates the ability to make decisions based on data

  • Good Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence both upwards and downwards

  • Demonstrate the ability to coordinate, work across cross functional teams

  • Flexibility to adapt plans/challenges as they arise

  • Demonstrate the proven ability to achieve results and work in a high energy, fast-paced environment
