Brands Manager - Jumia - (Full Time)

About the role:

The Brands Manager owns the business planning, execution, and P&Ls of several Brand across all our markets.

He/she interacting with the  key accounts. he / she will also have to build tremendous relationships externally with top executives at the brand and distributor side.

The Brands Manager is responsible for delivering a world-class customer and vendor experience thanks to the right assortment, perfect online ergonomics, the best prices, and the most innovative marketing campaigns.


  • Achieving the targets of revenue and gross margin for your category and your brands.
  • Negotiating the launch of key brands across multiple markets.
  • Building, managing, animating the key account management teams.
  • Developing tight professional / personal relationships with key brands.
  • Organizing key commercial events such as Black Friday, Jumia Anniversary.
  • Becoming an expert of your category with a perfect knowledge of the different products / pricing / market trends.
  • Coordinate all commercial teams related to his/her Brand to ensure a flawless execution in the event preparation.
  • Handling pricing and assortment strategy through your team.
  • Building a very friendly user interface for our vendors and our customers by being involved in our Tech developments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Fashion Retail/Ecommerce.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Economics, Engineering).
  • Exceptional commercial skills.
  • Strong management and inter-personal skills.
  • Strong Analytical and very detail oriented.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, command of Arabic, French & English
  • Strong drive.
  • Ability to anticipate, structure and organize.
  • Autonomous.
  • Finding simple solutions to complex problems.
